Andrea Silletti

CURO Program Coordinator

Andrea Silletti is the program coordinator for the Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities. In addition to managing the awards, classes, and other opportunities available through CURO, she enjoys meeting with people across the UGA campus and talking about the benefits of undergraduate research.

Andrea has a BS in environmental studies, biology concentration from Bradley University, and a master’s in biology from Kansas State University. She has been at UGA since 2006. Prior to joining the Honors College in 2022, Andrea was a lab manager in the Odum School of Ecology. She has also held positions with the U.S. Forest Service, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and Clemson University.

Stephanie Schupska

Stephanie Schupska

Senior Communications Coordinator

Stephanie Schupska directs the communications and marketing efforts for the Morehead Honors College and Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities (CURO). She enjoys designing Honors publications, managing its social media accounts and website, writing stories about its amazing students, and taking photos.

She has worked in communications for the University of Georgia since 2005, first in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and then in the Division of Marketing and Communications, finishing her time there as research news editor for the university. She joined the Morehead Honors College in 2016.

Stephanie has a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in journalism from Valdosta State University and a master’s degree in health and medical journalism from UGA. Prior to coming to UGA, she was lead editor for the Cordele Dispatch.

Amanda Pruitt

Amanda Pruitt

Assistant to the Dean & Business Manager

Amanda Pruitt is the business manager and assistant to the dean of the Morehead Honors College. Prior to coming to the Morehead Honors College in 2012, she worked for the UGA Procurement Office, a position she started in 2006.

Amanda was born and raised in Athens, where she went to school. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time outside with her husband, two boys, and three dogs.

Meg Amstutz

Meg Amstutz

Dean of the Morehead Honors College

Margaret A. “Meg” Amstutz is dean of the Jere W. Morehead Honors College, where she oversees college operations as well as the campus-wide Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities and the Foundation Fellowship, the university’s top academic scholarship. She previously served as associate provost for academic programs and chief of staff in the Office of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost at the University of Georgia. She led university-wide initiatives of the Provost’s Office and worked closely with campus and external stakeholders.

From July 2017 to July 2018, Dr. Amstutz served as interim president of the College of Coastal Georgia. Dr. Amstutz’s work in the University of System of Georgia began in 1997 with 16 years of service in UGA’s Office of the President. Her initial 10 years as assistant to the president were followed by six years as chief of staff.

Dr. Amstutz holds the Jere W. Morehead Distinguished Professorship and has a courtesy appointment in the department of English. She received her bachelor’s degree in English from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, and master’s and doctoral degrees in English and American literature from Washington University in St. Louis.
