CURO

At the University of Georgia, CURO facilitates opportunities for undergraduate students to pursue research with premiere research faculty and share their accomplishments with the campus community and beyond.

As early as their first-year, undergraduates at UGA have the opportunity, through CURO, to engage in faculty mentored research, regardless of discipline, major or GPA. CURO is a program already available to all students, so there is no need to "join" or "apply." Instead, CURO facilitates student engagement in research through multiple offerings.

By working with and through CURO, undergraduates can: learn strategies and skills to help them identify and contact research mentors; earn degree program academic credit; compete for funded summer research opportunities; receive conference travel support; and present and publish their work. These offerings allows students to tailor their undergraduate reserach experience to their specific goals.
