Eligibility

All undergraduates are eligible to participate in undergraduate research through CURO, regardless of class standing, major, GPA or Honors standing.

Some of CURO's programming does, in fact, have some requirements, but these typically involve either credit hours or course prerequisites. CURO's specific offerings and the requirements are listed below.

CURO Gateway Seminars:

Available to all undergraduates.

CURO Research Courses:

Honors students may pursue a CURO research course as early as their first semester, provided they are enrolled in HONS 1000H simultaneously.

All other students must have completed 15 residence credit hours prior to submitting an application for one of these courses.

CURO Thesis Course:

Applicant must have completed at least one CURO Research Course prior to submitting their application for this course.

CURO Symposium:

All students involved in faculty-directed research are eligible to submit an abstract. Research does not have to be done through a CURO research course.

CURO Research Assistantship:

Current UGA undergraduate students involved in faculty-directed research are eligible to submit an application. Research does not have to be done through a CURO research course.

CURO Summer Fellowships:

Applicants must be a current 1st through 3rd year undergraduate at UGA and must have completed 15 residence credit hours .

Journal of Undergraduate Research (JURO):

All students involved in faculty-directed research are eligible to submit a paper for publication.
